WHY WE'RE DOING THIS

The conference tells you what a graduate needs to be. We wanted an evening about how you actually get there... because it's not a finish line, it's a cycle. New York's Portrait of a Graduate isn't a destination either. It's information you act on, season after season.

At Saratoga, the race is the visible part. The real work is everything around it and everything after it. That's closer to the work in your district than any finish line is.

Before you arrive, we'll ask you one question: what's hard right now, back in your district? Bring that. It's dinner conversation, and we hope it opens the door to more conversations.

THE EVENING

Walk the backstretch at golden hour and meet the people whose whole job is in the background: the exercise rider who reads a horse's mood, the clocker calling a workout to the second, the spotter whose entire career is noticing speed and maneuverability. Then sit down to a dinner and put it all together.

The race ends. Their work doesn't. Neither does yours.
